Based from Allenhead’s Lodge we either drive you to the river or meet your there. You will don some PPE in the form of a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and jacket ready to take on the rapids of the River Tees. Once we get to the river, we start off by introducing the group to moving water and some techniques to help people stay safe in the new environment.
Things to Expect on This Activity:
- Get very wet, and fully submerged in water.
- Slide down waterfalls in a rubber ring!
- Jump from a waterfall.
- Try wild swimming in a beautiful location.
This activity is in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on the River Tees near the Bowlee’s Visitor Centre. We either leave from the Lodge together in our bus or meet you at the venue, it’s always helpful to have an idea of what size people are so we generally get in touch about that before your activity.
This activity is great for groups who would like to push their boundaries and experience something most people will not get the opportunity to try. It inspires confidence, peer support, helps promote communication within the team and tolerance for other people.
